Four spots for stunning portrait, business and hobby solo traveller photos
Salinas El Bufadero Photographer
Salinas El Bufadero is one of the most fascinating locations I’ve photographed. The dramatic rocks and shimmering sea pools create a surreal atmosphere — it’s a dream for both landscape and portrait photography.
When I take my solo clients here, I always recommend either early morning (for soft, ethereal light) or late afternoon (for golden tones and reflections).
You’ll love how peaceful it is — perfect for creative, relaxed portraits where you can truly connect with the natural surroundings.
Maspalomas Beach & Lighthouse Photographer
Another favourite location is Maspalomas Beach, especially around the dunes and the iconic lighthouse.
The textures and patterns of the sand dunes change constantly — no two shoots here are ever the same. I often bring clients here around sunset, when the light is warm and soft, perfect for cinematic, storytelling portraits.
During our shoot, I love mixing wide, epic shots of you in the dunes with more intimate, close-up portraits as the light fades.

Arucas Banana Plantation Photographer
One of the most unique backdrops on the island is the Arucas Banana Plantation. The vibrant greens and exotic textures make this location perfect for natural, organic-looking portraits.
When I shoot here, I focus on the little details — the way light filters through the leaves, droplets on the bananas, or the contrast of your outfit against all that lush greenery.
Many of my solo traveller clients love this spot because it adds something really different and authentic to their portfolio.
Anfi del Mar Beach & Palm Garden Photographer
If you want something more tropical and bright, I often recommend a session at Anfi del Mar Beach.
With its turquoise water, white sand, and palm trees, it’s ideal for vibrant beach photos. We can shoot early in the morning for peaceful, serene shots or at golden hour when the light is perfect.
Nearby, the Palm Garden offers a quieter space for more relaxed portraits surrounded by lush greenery. Many of my clients love combining these two locations in one session.

Most of my sessions last between 1 to 2 hours and, depending on the number of locations (meny of my clients choice multylocations) we visit. I always customise the session based on your preferences and the type of photos you want to capture.

I recommend wearing outfits that reflect your personal style and that you feel comfortable in. Solid colours and light fabrics work great here in Gran Canaria’s natural settings. If you’d like, I can also give you tips on what to bring before your session.
