What’s the best way to contact you?
WhatsApp is the fastest. I check it often, so I can usually reply there first. You can also send me a DM on Instagram, use the contact form on my website or email info@slavik.fi.
One thing to know: I answer form messages by email, and that reply can end up in spam. On WhatsApp you see it straight away in the chat.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover cards, or cash. You pay after the photoshoot, not before. There’s no deposit.
What’s the best time of day for a photoshoot in Gran Canaria?
The last 90 minutes before sunset, or early morning. The sun is low, the light is soft, and you get warm backlight instead of hard shadows on faces.
Midday works better in hotel gardens or town streets where buildings give shade.
How much does a photoshoot in Gran Canaria cost?
A solo session is 200 €, couples and small families (2–3 people) are 250 €, and larger groups start from 300 €. A second location is +100 € for solo sessions and +125 € for couples and small families; groups shoot at one location. All packages are on the price page.
How many photos do I get from a 90-minute shoot?
At least 100 edited, full-resolution photos for one person, 150+ for couples and small families, and 200+ for bigger groups. I choose the best shots and edit them by hand.
If you want extra retouching on certain photos, it starts at 10 € per photo.
Can we do the photoshoot at my hotel?
Yes. I’ve photographed at Paradisus by Meliá, Lopesan and RIU, among others. Most hotels want to give permission first, and some charge a fee or set their own rules.
I can help you contact the hotel. Once they say yes, we plan the shoot so other guests aren’t disturbed.
Which hotels have you worked at?
RIU, Lopesan, Anfi del Mar, Bull Hotels, Paradisus by Meliá and Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel. I’ve shot both indoors and in the gardens, so I know how these hotels handle photographers.
Do you offer private photo tours in Gran Canaria?
Yes. In one day we visit three places: Barranco de las Vacas, Puerto de Mogán and the Maspalomas Dunes. The tour is for one or two people, and I take care of the driving and the water. Details are on my Private Photo Tour page.
Can I remove my all-inclusive hotel wristband during the photoshoot?
Yes, and most of my clients do. I just ask you to check with reception before we shoot — most hotels are happy to take it off for the photos, especially if you mention it’s for a photoshoot.
If your hotel says no, don’t worry. I know a few easy poses and angles that keep it out of frame anyway.
How can I avoid getting a tan line from my hotel wristband?
Move it around every day or two if you can — switch wrists, or just shift it slightly so the same strip of skin isn’t always covered. With kids, it’s worth checking on it yourself now and then, since they’ll forget.
Can we take photos anywhere in the Maspalomas Dunes?
No. The Maspalomas Dunes are a protected natural area, and some areas have restricted access.
For my photo shoots, I only use accessible areas and permitted paths, always respecting the signs, restricted zones, and the natural environment.
There are still many locations where we can photograph the dunes, ocean, and surrounding landscape without entering restricted areas.
I always choose the best accessible location according to the current conditions, time of day, and light.

How long does a photoshoot take, and what’s included?
90 minutes at one location. That includes my guidance the whole time, one change of clothes, and full-size photos edited by hand in an online gallery. Solo sessions and couples can add a second location — see the price page.
How soon will I get my photos?
Solo sessions are ready within 3 working days, couples and small families within 4, and larger groups within 5. You get a link to an online gallery, where you can download every photo in full resolution.
What should we wear, and do we need to know how to pose?
No experience needed — I direct you through the whole session, from posture to hands. Before the shoot I send a few outfit ideas that suit the location, and there are more in my outfit tips for family and maternity shoots.
Where do we meet for the photoshoot — do we need to come to Las Palmas?
We meet at the photoshoot location we agree on together, so there’s no need to come to Las Palmas. I photograph all over Gran Canaria, and the most popular spots are the Maspalomas Dunes, the beach by the Faro lighthouse in Meloneras, Amadores, Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogán.
