Gran Canaria has a lot of beautiful places to take a wedding portrait. Here are the most popular places:
- Anfi del Mar. This lovely place is situated in the south of the island. There is a nice beach with white sand and a heart shaped small island.
- Las Canteras beach in Las Palmas
- El Confital beach, especially during sunset
- Parque Doramas in Las Palmas. It is a nice park where are exotic trees and flowers.
- The beach of Agaete where majestic mountains rise up in the background.

What’s it like to be a wedding photographer?
When one knows that the wedding has been planned for a long time, it is the most important day for the couple, so of course I’m a bit excited about it every time as a photographer. This is why I prepare well for weddings. When I take the wedding portrait, my mission is to get the couple to relax and make themselves feel comfortable. Whenever possible, I try to get to know the couple before hand and take a few test photos before the wedding day. Thus the official wedding photography goes better — with a photographer who you already know.
Documentary photos in the wedding celebration require a lot of concentration. A 100% presence is needed from the photographer to document the wedding and the main events with the camera. It’s challenging, but rewarding.
Does the couple have photo anxiety?
Many couples are afraid that wedding photos end up too tense and that they don’t know how to pose in photos. You don’t need to be afraid of that. I give ideas on what to do in photos: contact, poses, where to look at, facial expressions, relaxation etc.
